Workshop on “Introduction to PHP and CodeIgnitor Framework” was conducted for II MCA students on 04.11.2017. Mr.Karthikeyan Babu, Senior Software Developer, Social Hub Info Solution, Bangalore served as the resource person for the programme.
The orientation program for I MCA & II MCA (lateral Entry) was organized on 11.08.2017. Ms.S.Vijayalakshmi, AVP- HR, Payoda Technologies, Coimbatore was the chief guest for the inauguration. Dr.R.S.Kumar, Principal, Dr.Senthil Jayavel, Director/SOC and Dr.V.Geetha, HOD/MCA also addressed the students. P.G. forum of KCT conducted various events for the students. As the part of the orientation an one credit course on “Internet of Things” is also being conducted in association with IQUBE for the students as a part of this program.

Orientation program for II MCA & III MCA were organized on 18.07.2017 & 19.07.2017 respectively.MCA Department has organized two one credit courses “Human Excellence-Professional values” and “Soft skills” to II Year students of KCT as a part of this program.

The department of Computer Applications was established in the year 1993. Since its inception, the department has been progressing with a vision and a strong commitment to develop competent programs, uncompromising standards of excellence and grooming the students with computational skills that are required in the IT industry. The department has well equipped laboratories with latest computers and software. Also, the department has experienced staff members having both teaching and industrial experience.
